Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She received a BA from Brown University in African-American Studies. At the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actor, producer and director who is employed in film and television. She began her acting career in theater and later appeared in numerous television series and independent and mainstream movies. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with high praise but also received a host of awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. Her first professional performance was in the role of Ariel, as Ariel, The Tempest. In addition to Broadway's Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her most well-known work is her work in Men of Honor, The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. In the world of television, her role in the ABC's crime drama series High Incident has earned her high praise.
