Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 until January 19 2008) was an American film, theatre, television, and voice actress. Pleshette began her career in theatre and appeared in films during the late 1950s. In later years, she was an actor of note in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). From 1972 until 1978 Pleshette appeared regularly in a variety of television shows. She also played Emily Hartley, which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, on January 31 of 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist and choreographer, performing under the stage name of Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage director for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
