tony gonzalez-5-1024x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was conceived in Torrance on February 27 the year 1976. Gonzalez was born in the southern part of California. He attended Huntington Beach High School and was a star football and basketball player. Gonzalez excelled in these sports during his time at the University of California. He was instrumental in leading the football team to the 1996 Aloha Bowl, where he beat the record of the school bowl with nine receptions. Gonzalez then led the basketball team to Sweet 16 in the NCAA basketball tournament a few months after. After graduating from high school in 1997, he was selected for the NFL Draft. Gonzalez was selected as the 13th overall choice by the Kansas City Chiefs. Gonzalez played for the Chiefs from 1997 to the year 2008. Gonzalez was traded to the Atlanta Falcons. In Gonzalez's second NFL year, he caught not less than 59 of them per season.
